We Must:
- Find a way to budget the bus system at a level that allows a comprehensive, Columbia wide bus system to say in place
- Keep our federal grant- which requires a matching contribution
- Prevent Columbia from becoming the first capital city in America without buses
- Keep buses on the road to keep people on their way to work
On June 30, 2009, the Road Tax that supports Columbia's buses expires. Without action on the part of city and county officials, CMRTA will be required to make drastic service cuts affecting thousands of our fellow citizens.
